Different Types of Hispanic College Grants

Many private and government organizations in their endeavor to uplift the minority community called Hispanics have come up with many kinds of college grants that would help this group to ensure a better way of living.

1) Hispanic Scholarship Fund – This grant is given by one of the major organizations that believe in helping the Hispanic community with their dream of a free education. This fund helps you with all kinds of academic needs that include tuition fees and other financial expenses.

These grants are awarded to that Hispanic student who demonstrates good leadership skills, having good grades and also show the need for a financial aid. This Fund helps both graduates and undergraduates. Around 3500 students get aid from this fund every year as Hispanic college grants.

The Exxon Mobil Scholarship, Wells Fargo Scholarship and the Atrisco Heritage Foundation Scholarship are the main programs that are associated with this Hispanic Scholarship Fund and they also help the Latino students with this Hispanic grants.

2) Gates Millennium Scholars Program – This scholarship program helps students of all ethnic group for their higher education along with the Hispanics. This program was formed by ‘Bill and Melinda Gates’ Foundation in 1999.Since then this program has helped the Hispanics in completing their dream of going to college without thinking about its expenses.

For being eligible for this program, you need to score a high GPA – 3.3 is considered to be the minimum. It does not matter at all that which degree course you are applying for becoming eligible for these Hispanic grants.

3) Margoes Foundation – This group can also approached by you for funding your college education. They are attached to the ‘Hispanic Scholarship Program’ and helps Hispanic students in San Francisco area. If as a student you want to pursue degree course in subjects like Science, engineering and technology then you would be eligible for this grant.

If you have a GPA of 3.0 or more then Proctor and Gamble Co. is one such corporate house that is ready to assist you with an aid of $ 2500.It is advised that you start applying for these and many more grants and scholarships that are available to Hispanics during your junior and senior high school days. These grants should be properly utilized by the Hispanics.
